NE Tax Credits

Mater Filius of Nebraska is approved to offer state tax credits through the Nebraska Pregnancy Help Act (LB 937). Starting in 2026, you can receive a 50% credit on your Nebraska state income tax by making a qualified donation.

The total available tax credits for all organizations in 2026 is $1,000,000, awarded first-come, first-served. Don’t wait too long—funds go quickly

Important Notes:

• This is a state credit only; gifts can’t be claimed on your federal return.
• If you overestimate, unused credits can be carried forward for 5 years.
• If you don’t donate the full amount within 60 days, your reserved credit is forfeited.

How to Claim the Nebraska Pregnancy Help Act Tax Credit:

1. Choose Your Intended Gift Amount
   Decide how much you plan to donate to Mater Filius of Nebraska to claim a tax credit (up to 50% of your Nebraska income tax liability).
2. Notify Mater Filius of Your Intent
   Provide your name, contact information, and intended credit amount to Mike Rowe at rowemd68046@gmail.com. This allows us to complete the required paperwork for you.
3. Mater Filius Submits Form 3152‑IC
   Mater Filius will complete and submit the Nebraska Pregnancy Help Act Notification of Intended Tax Credit (Form 3152‑IC) to the Nebraska Department of Revenue on your behalf.
4. Wait for State Verification
   The Nebraska Department of Revenue reviews requests in the order received and notifies Mater Filius within 30 days if tax credits are available. We will notify you once confirmed.
5. Make Your Donation
   After approval, you must make your contribution to Mater Filius within 60 days to secure your reserved tax credit.
6. Receive Your Receipt & Claim the Credit
   Mater Filius will issue a donation receipt. You will use this documentation to claim the nonrefundable tax credit on your Nebraska income tax return.
